Two years of professional software work on systems where being wrong gets expensive; factory floors, legal compliance, health data.

Experience

Progressive full-stack development across manufacturing, legal, and supply chain systems.

Now with hardware too: sensors, indicator boards, and custom test equipment for the shop floor.

Manufacturing Systems Engineer software & hardware

Vuteq U.S.A. · Princeton, IN

  • Sole developer providing technical support for 8 Vuteq plants plus sister company DV Indiana, troubleshooting apps, SQL Server, networking, DNS, and shop-floor hardware.
  • Built the company's first support ticketing system, replacing radio requests with a tracked ticket queue so issues get prioritized and resolved.
  • Regained the company domain after a lockout by a former web provider and moved DNS to GoDaddy for the website and Microsoft 365 email; planning the move to Cloudflare.
  • Set up a Jenkins CI/CD pipeline across all 8 sites and built a React app connecting shop-floor PLCs to SQL Server to track production cycle times.
  • Built a scan-based safety and process audit platform with failure tracking and supervisor accountability, replacing paper checklists.
  • Built production dashboards for plant leadership, including one whose refresh time dropped from 40 minutes to 2.
  • Designed in-house test hardware, sensors, and error-proofing systems for the production floor, built for less than the commercial equivalents.
  • Leading a rebuild of the corporate website in English and Japanese.
  • Wrote a capacity brief that led leadership to plan a second developer hire, and I'm advising on how the two-developer team should be structured.
  • Work directly with plant users to reproduce issues, explain fixes in plain language, and turn recurring problems into software improvements.

AI & Systems Developer

Amcor · Remote

  • Built AI tools with non-technical Legal teams that pull jurisdiction-specific details from documents, supporting compliance across multiple regions.
  • Added unit testing and CI, reducing deployment errors and improving reliability for 100+ users.
  • Connected internal tools to enterprise systems via REST APIs under strict security requirements, and documented them so teammates could support them.

Manabu

A free Japanese learning platform built around how memory actually works instead of how textbooks are organized. Co-developed with a custom back-end framework so it can keep growing, and backed by primary field research — the language in it is the language people really use.

GooseNotes

A small ticket tracker for dev teams and everyone who asks them for things. Developers get their tickets on a sticky note in the corner of the screen with the whole board one click behind it; everyone else gets a portal to ask for things and watch them ship. Offline-first desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, synced to a self-hosted server that runs as a single file.

v0.6.1self-hosted

Gooseplicant

A self-hosted applicant tracker that sits behind the careers form a company already has. Each application arrives signed and verified, and HR reviews, moves, rates, and replies to applicants in a fast split inbox, with sensitive answers masked until revealed and every reveal logged. Ships with a lighter edition, Gosling, for teams that just want applicants filed and searchable.

Manabu Lesson Builder

A what-you-see editor so teachers can compose lessons — titles, notes, warnings, quotes, vowel charts, tables — pick a theme, and export a module. Nobody should need a pull request to publish a lesson.

BetterSweet

A cross-platform diabetes app for iOS and Android. Point the camera at a nutrition label and a custom OCR engine, backed by the OpenAI API, processes it. Built as my senior project, where I was lead developer and owned the authentication and encryption protecting users' health data.

Manabu Code

A LeetCode-style coursework platform for universities. Professors create courses, write assignments and problems, and attach the test cases that do the grading. Students solve problems in the browser, run their code against sample tests, and submit against the full set, hidden cases included.

Two original titles being finalized for Steam. Custom multiplayer and backend logic in Godot, wired through the Steamworks API. The full commercial lifecycle — build, QA, release, and everything that breaks afterward.

More games

CASHGRAB: a co-op game for up to eight about vibecoding an app at your day job before the boss notices, with 3D proximity voice and Steam lobbies. Diorama: an open-source HD-2D RPG framework for Godot, with pixel-art sprites in lit 3D scenes, a cutscene language, turn-based battles, and a playable example. Whisker & Bean: a cozy cat cafe builder for iOS and Android, currently a playable vertical slice.

goosechat

A self-hosted, end-to-end encrypted chat platform for gaming groups: servers, channels, DMs, threads, and forums, with every private channel getting its own encryption group. Encrypted voice and video calls with screen sharing, offline-first messaging that delivers in order exactly once on reconnect, encrypted presence that never touches the server, safety-number verification, on-device search, and a tamper-evident moderation log.

Gremlin working name

A cross-platform desktop app that pairs a frontier AI coding agent with local LLMs: local models draft, the frontier model verifies, and work keeps going while I'm away. Planned: sub-agents on different frontier and local models, any configurable local endpoint, a React Native phone companion, and GitHub, GitLab, Jira/Linear, and GooseNotes integrations.

mailmagik

A Mac mail-triage app for inboxes that have gotten out of hand. It connects straight to iCloud, Gmail, and any other IMAP mailbox, pulls them into one window, and gives you real filtering and sorting, a spam filter that explains itself, and a mailing-list view with working unsubscribe. Passwords live in the macOS Keychain and nothing is sent anywhere but your own mail servers.

cani

A spending app where you don't get the final say. Before you buy something you put it to your friends: they get a notification and vote, and the purchase only becomes a real entry once they've answered. Underneath is the smallest budget that still answers "how am I doing this month."

ShakeMaster

A shake-based mobile arcade game. I redesigned the UI: capsule HUD stats, a combo multiplier, a pressable two-layer start button, and a floating tab bar for Play, Leaderboard, Pass, and Shop.

Homelab: virtualization & networking

Tailscale ties everything together: subnet routers, exit nodes, and static routes securely connect my self-hosted image hosting, VoIP, and game servers for friends and family. Underneath is a Linux host running Incus VMs, including one with a dedicated GPU passed through for a friend's remote AI work and an isolated sandbox VM with no route back to the host. Full-disk LUKS encryption, firewall rules, and access controls scope remote users to their own VM.

Open-source LLMs and local RAG pipelines running in Docker on a Windows workstation (RTX 4090, 96 GB RAM). Right now I'm evaluating RAG performance and how accurate semantic search can get on your own hardware.

Off the clock

I'm a software engineer in Evansville, Indiana. Most of my work lives in C#, React, and SQL server(s), on systems where downtime costs somebody real money. I've gotten comfortable in legacy code, production incidents, and the documentation that happens right after.

Outside of that, I'm usually learning something on purpose. Right now that's Japanese, PCB design, and how to develop a game without my head exploding
